Quick Start

From zero to your first promotion

Seven steps, in order. Each one links to the page in this area that does the job, so you can follow along and be promoting Amazing Self today.

You haven't saved your hoplink yet. Make it once on Promotion Links and every swipe, banner and review in this area shows your own link.

Make my hoplink
  1. Step 1: Open a free ClickBank account

Amazing Self is sold through ClickBank, and ClickBank tracks every sale and pays your commission. If you already sell ClickBank products, skip to step 2.

Sign up at ClickBank, fill in your payment details so you can be paid, and note your account nickname. That nickname is your ClickBank ID, the part of your hoplink that says the sale is yours.

  2. Step 2: Make and save your hoplink

On Promotion Links, type your ClickBank ID, add a tracking ID if you want one (see step 6), and press Save. The link is kept in this browser for 7 days, and every email, post, banner and review in this area shows it in place of the sample link.

Press Test once. You should land on the Amazing Self sales page. Using another computer or browser later? Save it again there.

  3. Step 3: Choose where your visitors land

Your hoplink goes straight to the Amazing Self sales page, which is all you need for email and social posts to people who know you.

For paid ads, search and other cold traffic, put a presell page on your own site first. The article presell warms up people who have never heard of Amazing Self; the bridge presell is a short personal note for your list and readers.

  4. Step 4: Send your first email

Have a list? Start with the introduction sequence on Email Swipes: pick one of the three subject lines, replace the yellow line with one honest sentence of your own, and send one email a day or every other day.

Writing a newsletter, or buying a solo ad from another list owner? Use the sponsor blurbs and solo emails instead.

  5. Step 5: Post where your audience already is

Social Posts has ready posts for each platform, and Hooks & Angles helps you choose the angle that suits your followers. Pair a post with a square banner or one of the lifestyle photos.

Change the words so they sound like you, keep the facts the same, and put the disclosure line near the link.

  6. Step 6: Track each promotion with a tid

A tracking ID (tid) is a short label added to your hoplink, such as email1 or fb_march. Letters, numbers and underscores only. Make a separate link for each email, post or ad, each with its own tid.

ClickBank's reports show your sales by tracking ID, so you can see which promotion brought each sale and put more effort into the ones that work.

  7. Step 7: Disclose, and keep to the rules

Say you are an affiliate wherever you share your link, describe the product as it really is, and only email people who asked to hear from you. No income promises and no invented deadlines.

Copy this disclosure line and put it near your link:

I may earn a commission if you buy through my link, at no extra cost to you.

Do

  • Test your hoplink before every new promotion.
  • Tell people what they really get: the monthly magazine, the interviews and the wealth videos, for $37 a month.
  • Mention the 60-day money-back guarantee; it is true and it helps.
  • Use a different tracking ID for each promotion.

Don't

  • Promise money, health results or any other outcome.
  • Email people who did not ask to hear from you.
  • Invent deadlines, countdowns or "last chance" claims.
  • Bid on "Amazing Self" as a search keyword unless Andrew says yes first.
